What you will need to submit:
From 12th November 2018 all foreign nationals applying for Chinese visas in the UK are required to apply in person, Biometric data (fingerprints) will also be taken at the time you submit your visa application

  • Passport (must be valid for 6 months after the expiry date of your visa and have at least one blank page)
  • Photocopy of your passport and any previous Chinese visas
  • One recent coloured passport photo on a white background (see photo requirements)
  • Completed visa application form APPLICATION FORMClick on the new application form and follow further instructions
  • The online form can be difficult and time consuming to complete, if you prefer, BAT Visas can email you a manual form to be completed by hand/on screen and returned back to us along with a jpeg photo image file size between 40kb -120kb . We will then complete the online form on your behalf. We charge £30.00 + VAT to complete the online visa application form.
  • Either:
    • Invitation letter of Duly Authorised Unit or a Confirmation letter of Invitation issued by an authorised unit in China which must contain full name and passport number of the invitee as well as the purpose and duration of the visit;

Or:

  • A letter of invitation from a company in China which must contain applicant’s full name, gender, date of birth, purpose of visit, date of arriving and leaving China, place(s) of visit, relationship between the applicant and the inviter, financial support during stay in China.  Confirmation of the inviter’s name, company name, address, contact number, company stamp and signature

Both must be an original or faxed/scanned copy and dated within the last 6 months

  • Completed visa procurement form

    • Consulate fee £151.00
    • Service charge £200.00 plus VAT
  • Express service (3 working days)
    • Consulate fee £182.00
    • Service charge £200.00 plus VAT

Concierge Service includes – pre check of all documents, assistance with the application form if required, booking of the appointment, a meet and greet on the day of the appointment and collection of the passport and visa once processed.

Important Information

  • You may be required to go to the Chinese Embassy for an interview if the Chinese Embassy deems it necessary
  • A Chinese visa is valid from the date of issue, not from the date of travel
  • From 5th December 2018 there is a new Chinese visa application form, you will need to answer all the relevant questions in full and you will also need to upload a photo to comply with the requirements set out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the People’s Republic of China.
